Make-Up Trends - Summer 2012
From Fendi's golden leaf eyes (left), to
Mary Katrantzou's big and bold blue lips, there have been some wacky make-up trends to have come from the catwalk.
However, living in a small village in the East of England, I doubt many of my neighbors would understand me if I walked out my house with some of these fascinating beauty ranges.
Therefore, I have scaped the internet to find a few more subtle, yet gorgeous summery make-up trends for you.

Red LipsThe cherry pout. Berry lips. Call it what you want, but it's on trend this summer.
Brought to town by Jason Wu on the catwalk, this look is painted on by using a lip brush and teamed with natural/simple looking make-up. Here are 3 of my recommended lipsticks to create this look. 1) NO7 Moisture Drench Lipstick, £9.50 2) Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick, £7.13 3) Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip color, £21.50 |
Smokey EyesYes, they were on trend in the Spring, but for summer, the raunchy smokey eyed look has had an update.
Instead of using the usual black/brown eyeliner, metallic eyeliner is now used as a replacement to create a brighter look. Team this look with simple make-up and pale lips. My top 3 metallic eyeliners which are perfect to help create this look are: 1) Bourjous Regrad Effet Metallic Eyeliner 2) Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil 3) Ulta Metallic Automatic Eyeliner |
Summer GlowOf course it wouldn't be right not to have a sun-kissed glow trend for the summer, would it?
This year, make-up experts have experimented with various golden bronzers, highlighters, foundations and eye-shadows to create this look. Team it up with pale lips to create the perfect sun-kissed complexion. I have chosen 3 bronzers, which I think would help to create this look for you. They are: 1) Nars Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo 2) Sugar Cosmetics Tropic Tan 3) Urban Decay Baked Bronzer |
These summer trends can be made easily and will make-up you look both gorgeous and up to date for your summer holidays!
